Children/Youth

Here at St. Paul the teaching of our children is held in high esteem. We believe that children are loved by God, need to be taught the basics of the Christian faith, and best learn these lessons when they are modeled in the lives of their parents.

Sunday School is open for all ages 3 and above. In addition to regular lessons, the children sing and have activities that reinforce the lesson of the day. The children also sing in church from time to time. The general rule for the Sunday School schedule is that classes begin the Sunday after Labor Day and finish the Sunday before Memorial Day, so we go from September to May.

Confirmation helps students ages 6 – 8 grade to learn about the Bible, to learn about our Lutheran understanding of the Bible, and to explore what they believe. We use the Bible and Martin Luther’s Small Catechism, and group discussions to help achieve that goal. Students are confirmed on the first Sunday in May. More information is available through the church office.

High School Bible Study Group focuses on the application of Scriptural principles to issues relating to their age-specific life situations.

Youth Group Activities include fellowship centered around fundraising events, including an annual Easter Breakfast and Spring Rummage Sale. Monies raised are used toward attending the triennial Lutheran Youth Encounter.
